Nana Kitade, née le 2 mai 1987 à Sapporo, est une auteure-compositrice-interprète et musicienne japonaise. Elle a eu du succès en tant qu’artiste solo, mannequin, actrice et créatrice de mode. Nana Kitade est particulièrement connue pour ses chansons apparaissant dans divers anime, émissions de télévision, dramas et génériques d’ouverture et fin de films. Nana Kitade a été présentée sur la couverture de Gothic & Lolita Bible, ainsi que dans les magazines Neo and Kera. Elle a fait des tournées en Asie, en Europe et en Amérique du Nord. Le 29 octobre 2003, elle commence sa carrière avec le single « Kesenai Tsumi », qui sert de premier thème de fermeture de l’anime Fullmetal Alchemist. Le single est un succès puisqu’il gagne la 14e place au palmarès hebdomadaire des albums d’Oricon et y reste pendant plus de 22 semaines. Après une période décontractée, le style vestimentaire de Nana Kitade commence à se tourner progressivement vers le style Gothic Lolita. Sa nouvelle image est montrée à son apogée lors de la sortie du single « KISS or KISS ».Alors que sa popularité est en déclin, elle développe une petite fanbase qui s’intéresse surtout à son look de Gothic Lolita. Beaucoup de jeunes filles au Japon ont affirmé qu’elle les a influencées en ce qui concerne leurs vêtements Gothic Lolita. En 2006, elle est l’une des invitées du festival Otakon 2006 à Baltimore, Maryland.Le 1er juin 2009, Nana Kitade inscrit sur son site officiel qu’elle prend une petite pause dans sa carrière. La principale raison évoquée est en lien avec sa faible santé du moment. Il faut attendre octobre de la même année pour qu’elle revienne en formant le groupe Loveless avec le guitariste TAIZO. Après quelques concerts au Japon, le groupe devient finalement plus populaire en avril 2011. En effet, ils font une tournée à travers 10 pays européens, de même qu’au Maroc, et en juin ils sortent leur premier single « Ai to Hate ». À partir de 2012, devenue chanteuse du groupe rock The Teenage Kissers, elle se produit uniquement dans des live houses japonais. Enfin, en 2023, Nana Kitade célèbre ses 20 ans de carrière. Elle débute une tournée à l’étranger et sera, au printemps, au Canada, en France, en Espagne, en Hongrie et au Royaume-Uni. Kitade was featured on the cover of the Gothic & Lolita Bible, as well as featured in Neo and Kera magazines. She has toured Asia, Europe, and North America.
