ConDor Con started in 1993 as San Diego’s very own science fiction media and #literature #convention with well-known science-fiction author Octavia Butler as the first literary guest of honor and J. Michael Staczynski as the first media guest of honor. Over the years many authors, artists, actors have been honored at ConDor. The three-day event will feature guests, panels, and many opportunities to interact with other individuals immersed in the science-fiction media and literature community. ConDor is a project of C.A.A.S.M. The California Association for the Advancement of Speculative Media, Inc. (C.A.A.S.M) is an IRS 501(c) 3 tax exempt non-profit corporation. Its purpose is to promote an interest in the speculative fiction media (science fiction and fantasy) and provide opportunities to educate and broaden public awareness of this genre. ConDor is run under the auspices of C.A.A.S.M in partial fulfillment of that purpose.

Setsucon 2020, located near the geographical center of Pennsylvania, is a 14th year anime convention catering to the Central Pennsylvania region. Setsucon 2020 is located at Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, PA. We provide a weekend of anime screenings, informative panels hosted by fans, opportunities to see industry guests, and various special events. Setsucon is hosted by the Penn State Anime Organization (PSAO). Since September 2001, the PSAO has been bringing anime, manga and Japanese pop culture to the University Park campus. Working to provide both weekly screenings and a social environment for Penn State's anime/manga fan base, the PSAO is continually broadening its horizons. The PSAO meetings serve multiple functions, including our free weekly anime screenings. We also arrange trips to conventions, have club social events, facilitate DDR events on campus, and much much more!
